These names are thankfully from the Golden Age of Hollywood when had movie stars.

Mickey Rooney was a huge star and should be on the list. That is the biggest defect I see.

Not at all. You need the test of time to known who is a passing heart throb, and who is a bona fide legend. Fifty years from now, Harrison Ford will make the list.

The “debut occurred in or before 1950” rule explains why John Belushi (born in 1949) didn’t make the list. But not why Lucille Ball isn’t on the list.
