Trying to read something into a simple function of orbital mechanics and pure timing is painfully weak-minded. We know this happens regularly, we know when, we know why, and we can prove its past occurrences and predict when it will happen again.

There is nothing mysterious or mystical about it, it’s the purest of natural events, not some spooky harbinger of anything.

Then again, these are the folks who think a paper mask can act as a talisman against virii. The whole “chain link fence against a mosquito” idea escapes their iron-trap minds.

When I see Earth in that planetary line-up, I’ll get worried, but until then, no.

Despite appearances, virus is grammatically neuter.
There is another word, vir, which is masculine (plural viri).
Our word “virile” comes from it.

Neuters in Latin take -a in the plural.
As I recall, no existing Latin literature actually contains the word vira, but that is the conjectured plural.

No word in any gender of any declension takes -ii in the plural. If it ends in -ius it would have -ii in the plural.
