The new narrative, “not officially a state of the union”. Reagan gave his in 81, and right on down yes line.

They literally made this up. Nowhere is it written that a state of the union can only be sent in the second third and fourth year.
Wonder what the goal is? Maybe just to degrade or discount anything Trump does?

According to who? They are just trashing it for some petty reason. Could be as simple as them not wanting for the TV programs to start with an announcement of “The state if the union address”.
