Not factored in is the cost to taxpayers to rebuild our military munitions after giving large portions of it away to Ukraine. I read that with the current manufacturing base for munitions it would take 10 years to replace about 1/3 of what we gave away. There is a need to build new facilities and train new workers. It would take a massive undertaking to get back where we were ten years ago.

The military industrial complex loves this. From what I read it will cost hundreds of millions of dollars just to get to a level to fight a war.
