Glowacki is now spearheading a remarkable new project that will use virtual reality to enable those who are suffering from life-threatening illnesses to undergo their own (albeit simulated) near-death experiences. According to previous studies, there is evidence to suggest that those who do recall such experiences typically go on to enjoy a significant reduction in anxiety and stress levels.
This is perhaps because those people gain a renewed and even transcendental sense of peace and acceptance with regard to death and no longer fear what comes next when they die.
While some scientists have looked into the use of drugs to induce near-death experiences, Glowacki's research has indicated that virtual reality is the safest way to replicate the experience.

I’ve discussed it before in more detail. I was saved when it happened and although i knew it wasn’t factual leaving the body and descending into, actuzl hell, it was an experience due to misfiring synapses thst left me shaken? I had a 206 fever from poisoning (peritonitis) and had to be operated on immediately after I came to- I had passed out and gone into convulsions when the experience happend. Several things thouhg were not biblical, which is why I know it wasn’t actusl hell. But close enough for me to be able to tell fol,s thst tell me,to go to hell “I’ve already been there, they xent me back for you lol” (not you personally, the person who tells me that lol)
I know it will be pleasant- Jesus is my savior.
Yes, there are some others, but not many, most see the bright light and see their re,atives etc. There was no seeing anything where I went through - total darkness, heat (likely due to the fever I had), couldn’t breathe and felt like I was suffocatin - and ,ots of sounds that I couldn’t make out- frightening experience. At the end of it I got “sent” to the “outer dsrkness” where I felt a very weird feeling of not existing, BUT being conscious of being all alone- that i think was as frightening as what my mind “saw” in my imagination about hell.
I was 17 at the time- many decades later and I still see it as though it just happened.
In other words trick people into believing something that’s not likely real. π
I’m familiar with Dr Michael Egnorat Stoney Brook.
He’s big into mind body dualism. I’m so far beyond that as what he is trying to prove has been physical to my perception for over 35 years.
I purposely have not published as I don’t want the popularity that goes with it. I’ve demonstrated how consciousness works with the human soul at several medical schools and divinity schools. It freaks people out.
My number one goal has been research to better understand why Jesus taught what he did and the science supporting how Jesus did the things He did.
To me, science is the process of understanding how God Works. There are no such things as miracles. They are just science that we currently do not understand. The Bible is accurate and what are described as miracles really happened as described, AND it’s scientific.
“In other words trick people into believing something thatβs not likely real. π”
That’s the government’s job. π€£
You really *do* hate me, don’t you?
“There are no such things as miracles. They are just science that we currently do not understand.”
Wise words there.
Once science gets rid of its dogmas there need to be no conflict between science and religion.
“many decades later and I still see it as though it just happened.”
That is one of the characteristics of an NDE as at the higher level of consciousness where they are experienced, time and space collapse.
This causes the memory to be re-experienced every time it is recalled. As long as a person does not move the experience into their ego as a possession and define an identity around the experience, in which case they lose the higher connection.
“Once science gets rid of its dogmas there need to be no conflict between science and religion.”
Totally agree, with one very minor change... “between science and religion(S).”
At a higher level of understanding all religions make sense as they are all describing the same human soul. (Without discounting each other.)
Religions are like the 5 blind men who are all led to an elephant for the first time.
One gets the trunk and describes an elephant as a giant snake.
Another the tail and describes it as a rope.
Another the side and describes it as a rock wall.
Another the leg and describes it as a column in a building.
Another the ear and describes it as a giant palm.
The all argue and fight with each other as to who is correct in describing an elephant.
They are all correct, and if they would learn the perspective if the other blind men, they would all better understand what an elephant really is.
The same is true of the world’s many religions trying to describe the human soul.
I’m no longer blind and perceive the soul directly, so I see the truth in all of them.
Fair point.
I am more focused on the science “problem”.
The peer review process has created a cult like atmosphere where creativity is crushed—and science gets “stuck”.
With regards to science, I have had a similar view to yours for many years. Miracles as redefined in the enlightenment by Hume in particular, would be events that purportedly break the laws of science. But this is a straw man. The NT Greek words for miracles are best translated, signs, wonders and powers, signifying very unusual events with very fortuitous timing, signifying God's action/approval. Jesus Himself infers if not straight out declares that the 'miracles' he performed were done by the power of the Holy Spirit, which also explained why attributing those miracles to Satan was blaspheming the Holy Spirit.
Awwwwwww, who told?
Years ago, Dr. Moody hosted Joan Rivers to a seance type of experience. She sat in a totally dark room looking at a mirror and claimed she made contact with her deceased husband. Was that part of his research or just a one-off?
No, seriously, you do.
Those who are in know, know that Willie Nelson's been there done that. He explained it already:
β«
I woke up still not dead again today
The internet said I had passed away
If I died I wasn't dead to stay
And I woke up still not dead again today...
The Bible speaks more to what happens to those who hear the truth of the Bible and the gospel of Jesus but reject that gospel; so be worried more about that.
God will be merciful and fair for each person as his justice will demand. Yet those who have heard the truth of the gospel will be held much more accountable to it than those who have heard little or none of the truth. Still Paul in Romans does say that God has made his attributes know in the glories of creation and also knowable to humans and their intellects so that none is without excuse. So we all know something is out there whether we want to admit to it or not!
If you want to understand the science of religion, read about frequencies of consciousness as recorded in EEG’s.
Then read about the Delta, Theta, Alpha and Beta frequencies, and finally, read about gamma frequencies, the frequencies of the mystics.
All religions are teaching how to increase the frequencies of consciousness including the action potential firing rate of the neurons in the brain.
I am not familiar with that. It does not sound like something he would do.
Seances are very dangerous.
Miracles are natural attributes of Higher frequencies of consciousness.
Jesus stated in John 14. “ The things that I do and even more, you too shall do in my name.”
