Around 1958 my father in law graduated high school left NH and moved to San Diego. He enrolled in San Diego state and got a job working at night in the factory building Corvair jets. However he lived in Tijuana. Above a whore house.
He eventually learned to speak Spanish fluently. Which led to his career in international sales traveling the world selling textile manufacturing equipment. He is now 87. He still loves to talk about that time in southern CA & Mexico.
Traveling the Baha and other parts of Mexico on a Matchless mortor cycle.
Small world. My Dad worked for Convair in San Diego at that same time, from the time that I was born in San Diego in 1957 until about 5 years later when we moved up to Burbank and he started working for Lockheed.
