John Gribbin made the claim that 1982’s once-in-170some-year Grand Alignment (basically, all the planets being on the same side of the Sun at the same time) was associated with large quakes during Earth’s history.

It didn’t pan out. :^)

Venus and Jupiter are especially bright after sunset now, but Venus will be in inferior conjunction on March 23 so it won’t be an evening star much longer. Jupiter is a few degrees from Aldebaran in Taurus.
