Plants beware.

Instead of continuing to dig up and burn fossil fuels to produce the products we have come to rely on, we can get all the CO2 we need directly from the air and reuse it

A combination of hydrogen and carbon monoxide

+++++++++++++++++++++

Where is the CO coming from?
Or is the author unaware of the difference between CO and CO2?

And where does the hydrogen come from?
If they can liberate hydrogen from nowhere, that would be a big accomplishment right there..

Not a problem for plants; burning the fuel puts the CO2 back into the atmosphere. The net to the CO2 balance is zero.
