How developed was the baby?
“How developed was the baby?”
What does that matter?
It had a soul from the moment of conception
The article is weak on details.
We have to assume that the woman was grossly overweight / obese, and thus might have not been obviously pregnant to others. She may also have deluded herself into believing that the cessation of her monthly period had other reasons. So giving birth may have indeed been a "surprise" to her (and others).
Further, we are forced to assume that she indeed gave birth to a full-term baby, since - if it had been a late-stage miscarriage - the French authorities would hardly have been reacting in this manner.
We have to assume that labor was not artificially induced, since - if that had been the case, and it had been the woman's intent to induce labor prematurely - she would not have then done something so criminally stupid as throwing the baby out the window.
My money is on 1) the woman being obese, and no one else knowing about her pregnancy; 2) the woman having deluded herself into believing that she was not pregnant; 3) the woman having therefore given birth to a full-term baby, and therefore suffering some sort of mental breakdown; 4) the woman throwing the baby out the window in a state of temporary insanity.
Just my speculation based upon partial info.
