The governor went on to explain that this new money flow, plus a similar assessment tax on pharmacies, would allow the state to leverage additional federal support.
"We take that new federal funding, turn around, invest much of it back into higher reimbursement rates for both those ambulances and pharmacies, so they're basically made whole for that cost to begin with," Mills said.
