Now my question is, how much of a role did we have in overthrowing the government?
Tulsi Gabbard should know.
“Better off”? That depends on how much you value self-determination. Apparently, many on FR have forgotten, unless it rubs them personally, the wrong way. Our founders certainly thought such was worth more than their fortunes or even life itself, and thank God they did.
“How much”? If you knew anything about Ukrainians? A flea on an angry tiger. The basic forces in play were far greater than a handful of Americans running around.
Few Americans are able to “picture” themselves in the setting of Ukraine, a country repeatedly raped for over a century. That setting is just one of those basic forces...
Tulsi? Tulsi is at the same time terrific and smart and, apparently, utterly clueless. I have yet to hear her say one damn thing about what drives societal and cultural changes and differences around the world, and therefor, many of the resulting conflicts. Without context, data can be worthless or worse.
Our education system REALLY sucks. Hopefully, Tulsi can learn fast.
