I worked in a Fortune 50 company head quarter office.

Casual Friday came in and I thought that was OK. Sort of fun.

But bit by bit though, every day became casual Friday. Really casual! I was a product line sales manager and it was embarrassing when customers would visit the prestigious world HQ and it looked like a beach party (one guy used to wear cargo shorts and flip flops in the summer).

I've been retired 12 years. I can only imagine post covid what the work place looks like today.

With the new Trump administration, there seems to be a general trend toward old-fashioned gender stereotypes and dress, which seems to me like a frustratingly restrictive version of how a “woman” looks. Is there a way to use clothes to rebel against this unspoken dress code, even in a fairly conservative work environment?
