‘Uber with guns’ app launches in Los Angeles

The app is also available in New York City

Protector is now available on the iOS and Mac App Store, offering rideshare services like we know with Uber and Lyft, but with a twist. Your ride comes with a personal “protector” in the form of former military and law enforcement professionals that are, of course, armed with guns.

To describe the new app in simple terms, one mobile app advisor, Nikita Bier, took to X on Wednesday.

When booking, you can select the amount of “protectors” you want inside your ride. You can choose their dress code between four options: “Business formal” (a traditional suit), “Business Causal” (a lighter suit without a tie), “Tactical Casual” (a polo shirt with tactical pants and shoes) and “Operator” (full-on SWAT attire).

You can select as many as three vehicles to be included in a motorcade.

This is probably where Frankie Lapenna gets his security from.

Love it.

My son recently got turned around and ended up in a very very bad part of LA, stuck on a metro station late at night - the metro by then had stopped running. He tried to get a Lyft or Uber - and not a one would come...Finally after trying for 30 minutes he was able to get someone from Uber to come and get him and get him out of there.

More 9f a risk for the Uber guy

Obnoxious riders, if you have to deal with them getting physical with you or attacking your vehicle, you’ll be facing charges of whatever, while armed
