You don’t just stick two gold bars in your pants pockets and walk out. If the security was as good as it’s suppose to be then the gold will be there. A bar of gold cast to a certain size weighs different from one cast of lead the same size painted gold. I am guessing Elon is smart enough to figure this out. Think about this fact. We the people don’t trust past leaders to not have stolen the effing gold. What’s that say about us the American people and the crap we’ve elected all these years?

Whatever the situation was, it was. If the gold is stolen, it was engineered to be stolen.
Being as cynical as I am, I can see the possibility that there was a whole scale operation where all 4780 tons of gold were uplifted in a single night and replaced with 4780 tons of tungsten.
With a cooperation between the Whitehouse, Congress and the military, it wouldn’t be that difficult to do if there was a conspiracy to do this. They’d just have to give the night off to the regular security and bring in security who were ordered to turn to the wall until the operation was done. Then the regular security returns the next night as if nothing happened.
I’m not saying this happened, but it could be that bad.
The CIA can do a lot of things including producing a good fake gold bar or counterfeit.
