I was expecting to read that those two animals were shot with a Sedation Dart and then pulled up out of the well. Maybe the animals understood that they were being rescued and didn’t offer much resistance. Yeah... No!
About 15 years ago in Yellowstone National Park (winter time) some snowmobilers came across a moose that had broken through an ice topped river...it was stuck and was going to die.
The snowmobilers tied a rope to its horns and began helping the moose out. Instantly the moose realized what was happening and stopped resisting and the began working together — in unison — to free the moose.

Until a Park Ranger pulls a pistol and threatened to shoot the snowmobilers if they did not let ‘Mother Nature’ take its course.
Happily that Ranger was NOT on this scene in India...
