I look for an end to the war that guarantees that Ukraine will never be in NATO, no American soldier will ever die in Ukraine, and the Ukrainian government will send hundreds of billions of dollars of natural resources to America as an expression of gratitude.
DMZ. Do not reward Russia with any territory!
Fair?
Fair?
That’s cute. Let’s insist.
Fair would be a return to status quo antebellum with Russia paying reparations.
Sustainable, on the other hand, will require a Demilitarized Zone along the current lines of occupation.
“The goal is to bring an end to this conflict in a way that's fair, enduring, sustainable and acceptable to all parties involved," Rubio told reporters, although no Ukrainian or European officials were at the table for the talks.
Before your second "snip: ---
He [ Zelensky ] postponed a trip to Saudi Arabia that had been scheduled for this week, citing the fact that officials from his country were not invited to Tuesday's U.S.-Russia talks. The Ukrainian leader suggested that he wanted to avoid his visit being linked to the talks and rescheduled the trip for March 10.
The next steps will be most interesting.
Address Russia’s legitimate security concerns and then get them out of Ukraine.
“Rubio said he was “convinced” that Moscow was willing to engage in a “serious process” to end the war, “ Then Rubio is an idiot.
President Trump on war in Ukraine: “I think I have the power to end this war, and I think it’s going very well.”
“The goal is to bring an end to this conflict in a way that’s fair, enduring, sustainable and acceptable to all parties involved,” Rubio told reporters”
Acceptable to all parties involved.
Rubio is a child among men.
Even fools know no such solution exists.
He was President Trump's selection, so for the time being I'll go with the president's choice.
My point in the comment was specifically to observe that the meeting was only between our United States and Russia, as hosted by Saudi Arabia. Nest steps will be next steps, and will take time.
1. Ukraine letting those in annexed regions live in peace, acknowledging those there no longer want to be part to Ukraine.
2. Ukraine, as specified by its Constitution, remains a neutral country.
3. No NATO presence/threat in Ukraine.
4. Peacekeepers in what's left of Ukraine from neutral countries.
Fair is not important. Sustainable probably is.
Optimal solution, a Russia friendly government installed in Ukraine made up of Ukraine military officers, who are purely technocrats.
Elections . . . whatever, 10 years.
It won’t reverse as long as the US does not try regime change.
This is not complicated. Oil is everything. View all things through the prism of oil and the world is more clear. Russia’s will outlast America’s. That’s just reality.
Trump claims Zelenskyy has a 4% approval rating in Ukraine

Fair is whatever Putin wants. Sustainable is only possible if Russia leaves Ukraine.
The US-Russia accord will have 3 points of agreement
1) Russia gets Ukraine
2) USA gets Greenland
3) Europeans are stupid.
Brilliant!
🤣
Newt had a long interview on Charlie Kirk’s show today. He couldn’t have been more complimentary about Rubio and what an excellent pick he was.
I hope it works out for him — for all of them. So far, we’ve been very impressed with Vance and Hegseth, especially Vance. They seem to be so extremely capable in handling their respective roles, that PDJT can trust them while he’s home draining the swamp with DOGE.
Here’s what I’m hearing from a couple of ‘inside the beltway’ boys: There is no peace process. There are no negotiations. Russia and the Trump are being polite to each other and stalling while Russia completes the destruction of Ukraine’s military capability. The rest of NATO and Zelensky are irrelevant.
Russia may take more land than it wants to keep by the time this is over. The land Russia wants will remain Russia’s until someone with a big enough army takes it away from them.
