FAS is very radical, too. Probably on the exact same side ideologically.
I am not sure there is any solution to social media manipulation... other than to not believe anything, especially if it sounds like what you expect to hear or want to hear. Corporate on what you hear for a very long time and pay attention to the source. Sources that prove reliable over time get more weight. Sources that goof up, less weight.
The greatest danger is probably just in the agenda of the headline writers since only a small number of people ever read past the headlines.
