For more detail go to the link and click on the image for a high definition image. You can then move the magnifying glass cursor then click to zoom in and click again to zoom out. When zoomed in you can scan by moving the side bars on the bottom and right side of the image.

We saw the plume from here in Silicon Valley! We are 200 miles NNW from Vandenberg AFB. It wasn’t as dramatic as this photo, but it was spectacular. My son had just got home from work, came in the house and said “Dad, come out and take a look at this weird cloud.”

I told him it was a SpaceX launch from Vandenberg. He immediately went on line to see if the Old Man was right — and I was. I impressed him!
