Thats an awfully big assumption on your part, that these young enlisted will do “a lot of cool stuff.”
There is way more uncool stuff they will be doing quite a bit of.
You kinda sound like one of those recruiters who have the gift of vibrant embellishment.

Been there, done that.
There’s always “uncool” stuff everybody has to do, military or civilian. Did my share.
I also got to do lots of different “Really Fun Stuff” that nobody outside will ever have the opportunity to do and see stuff civilians will never see. Wouldn’t trade any of it, and makes you a better person in the long run.
And the recruiters I dealt with fed me the straight stuff. No complaints about their performance.
Troll.
You can get your four years in at least.
Retired army here and believe me the US army has become just another social program.
Mean women, nice gay men is gonna change?
Or two years, I think most people don’t realize that they still have 2 year enlistments, at least for the Marines and Army.
Sounds like the Russian Spetsnaz demos. However, gym performance is no indication of battlefield survivability which did not work out so well for the pre-invasion Spetsnaz, but they got lots of pretty wreaths on their graves.
Not at all, this video is about building strength and being strong while the Spetsnaz videos were about wasting valuable time on theatrical stunts like being able to throw a hatchet while doing a backwards flip.
All military people should be as fit as is possible within the time and budgets limit on military life, while those Spetsnaz stunts were just bizarre and unserious.
I agree. I did a lot of cool “your tax dollars at work” stuff when I was crew chief.
If I were still a young pup, I’d join the Marines now, for the lowest chance of woke remnants bugging me. When the next POTUS election rolls around I’d make the call on reupping or not. Will not serve under some pansy ass liberal communist.
