It’s a smart move on his part. If he wins he’ll be close to par with DeSantis in 2028. DOGE was going to be a 2 year proposition and after that he’s be out of the national spotlight. Republicans like to nominate Governors.

Come on. A hopeful 2 years in the statehouse(AS GOV) and he’s going to challenge the best(2 term) governor? Don’t forget JD in ‘28.
Btw-I could see JD not running. Clear the table for DeSantis. JD could be like Trump. Never running unless it got so bad. It will pop up again in his lifetime.
