Ramaswamy is aiming to succeed Gov. Mike DeWine. He will compete against state Attorney General Dave Yost and Heather Hill.

JD beat a top-tier candidate in Tim Ryan. Could Vivek beat him?
I can remember when Calif. republicans went for the flash and nominated Wm. Simon Jr., the son of the former treasury secretary and a conservative hero. Simon was awful. Bill Jones could have beat Gray Davis when Calif was more red than purple.
This is going to be an interesting race. I honestly do not know what to make of Vivek. I know l would not want to take him on in a debate. Yost is probably dreading that one.
A governors race is a better laboratory for a new face than one for the WH-less at stake. Vivek’s future in politics had to start lower. The POTUS race saved him the trouble of running for a house seat or state assembly. That would suggest that going by the numbers is beneath him but he’ll ‘settle’ for the governorship. Be careful.
High profile candidates. Remember Ollie North running for the senate? Too toxic. Same with Katherine Harris of the Florida recount 2000. Those seats are lost for 6 years.
What did Vivek do to make a lot of money? Did he develop a drug that cured Athlete’s foot or something? Does he still want to bring his friends over from a third world shit hole to make it very difficult for me to find a decent job?
Vivek might be not be a good nominee.
He’s plagiarized Obama’s speeches.
He also bought rights to a drug that didn’t work, ran it to Phase II trials, cashed out and then the drug failed Phase III trials.
If you’re from Ohio you need to look at this carefully.
Will he tell Ohioians that they are lazy slobs?
The Pump-and-Dump Scammer, Vivek Ramaswamy

Vivek would be a huge upgrade over DeWine. He can out-debate any opponent, and he’s great at podcast interviews. Is that enough to actually win the governorship of a major state? We’ll see.
An excerpt from the posted URL:
“. . . Vivek is a light-weight and not even a billionaire yet. But now that he’a a part of the Trump team, he’ll likely become a billionaire and never go to jail – no matter how immoral or illegal his schemes may be. He’s a part of the new USA, where the GDP is represented most by financialization, something fostered by the moronic Ronald Reagan, and very little actual production – the so-called Post-Industrial Economy.”
I know I shouldn’t have started to read that article.
*Will he tell Ohioians that they are lazy slobs?*
You tell me.
**Ohio tends to pull towards the middle on state level races. I think he’d be a disaster as a GOP candidate here and absolutely would not vote for him in the primary.**
That’s important to know. DeWine did less damage as a governor than as a senator.
Donald Trump was bankrupt. Ronald Reagan was a divorcé.
On the positive side, Vivek should receive all the Indian votes in Ohio. /s
But every time I hear him speak I feel like I'm dealing with a time share salesman trying to fast talk me into buying something.
And the arrogance ... never been elected to ANYTHING - city council, mayor, state rep, overseer of elections. Nothing. And now he wants to go straight to the top to be governor?
**Donald Trump was bankrupt. Ronald Reagan was a divorcé.**
Bill Clinton had peyronies disease-ask Paula.
Press Secretary would be a waste of his talents.
I expect a work of art in diversionary rhetoric should Vivek be challenged for his past remarks. He is an extremely good speaker and probably cannot be flustered by opponents.
He says all the right things I want to hear. I do not believe for a moment that he will do any of them.
He has slipped up and said a number of things I did not want to hear. His true nature has already been exposed. I would not vote for him in a primary election.
Time will tell. Vivek is right though.
That link is a leftist blog.
However this information is readily available on multiple Twitter accounts.
It’s not my place to tell Republicans in Ohio who to nominate, but there are sketchy things about Vivek’s past. Plus his negative comments about American workers during the Christmas H1B Visa War of 2024.
Can he be elected to the governorship if Republicans nominate him? IDK.
But nominating him seems like an unnecessary risk in an otherwise red state.
