You are correct. However, some states have allowed illegals to fill the ranks of law enforcement. Non-citizens enforcing our laws is not a good thing for American citizens. It won’t be as large as it is in Europe, but it is nick in our fall as a society.
Also, it might be placed on hold under Trump’s administration, but depending on who succeeds him, we could be back to the old ways. There are a lot of Dims and Rinos who want open borders. Hopefully, they are forced into retirement.
