Conservative and liberal are dependent on where one is holding the reading glasses on his nose.

“…challenging standards of prosecutorial independence that have stood for a half century.”
————
So, what was the standard before? Was it necessarily worse? What I know iafter many years in the legal profession is that justice is NOT blind - so the question then becomes whether it should be left to unelected and unaccountable bureaucrats (who are theoretically neutral, but in practice almost always Left-leaning), or in the hands of political appointees who are at least indirectly accountable through the elected officials who appointed them? I choose the latter - because then there is no illusion of prosecutorial neutrality. Besides, I would hardly say that the last 4 years have shown ANY “prosecutorial independence.”

deeply conservative prosecutors head for exits

The same people who lied about the lawfare against Donald Trump for the past 10 years now get to define who "deeply conservative" prosecutors are?

Fake news Reuters. The prosecutors were getting dumped anyway. The rats nest of the DOJ is being cleansed.

Sounds pretty fishy. Conservatives were able to stomach what the Justice Dept. did under Biden for four years, but this one decision by Trump caused them to leave?

There were no whistleblowers from the DOJ in NY state before the elections. Yet, the shenanigans of the DOJ was obvious. Therefore, there are NO DEEPLY conservative DOJ prosecutors in NY. More propaganda from an agency taking government taxpayer money to lie.
