@RandPaul

Today, we dove into the reckless and wasteful spending of our federal government. The United States should not be the sugar daddy for the entire world, especially not for countries and organizations who act contrary to our nations’ beliefs.

Statesman of a dystopian state. That part is easy. He’s had a nice run. Time to recognize your lack of relevance with the new head office, accept your gold plated watch, a portrait in a government building, and fly fishing in retirement.

Justice Joseph Story had indicated that the peacetime Congress has no express constitutional power to justify foreign spending.

If the tax be not proposed for the common defence, or general welfare, but for other objects, wholly extraneous, (as for instance, for propagating Mahometanism among the Turks, or giving aids and subsidies to a foreign nation, to build palaces for its kings, or erect monuments to its heroes,) it would be wholly indefensible upon constitutional principles [emphases added].” — Justice Joseph Story, Commentaries on the Constitution 2 (1833).

Oh no. Arlene was the one that cited Scottish Law in his legislative votes. He then changed from republican to Democrat in his last term as senator. All the magic bullet theory was his too, as a freshman. He cut his teeth on the Warren Commission.
