Fogel was released into the custody of Trump's Middle East envoy, Steve Witkoff, who made an unannounced stop in Moscow on Tuesday to pick him up.
The Washington Post said that according to Fox News broadcaster Sean Hannity, Witkoff, a real estate developer and longtime friend of Trump, had a three-and-a-half hour meeting with Putin. Peskov said he had "nothing to say" on that.

You missed this part:
The Kremlin said on Wednesday that a Russian citizen was freed from a U.S. prison in exchange for Moscow’s release of jailed American schoolteacher Marc Fogel, in a deal that it said could help build trust with Washington.
But Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov played down the suggestion by U.S. President Donald Trump that the deal could make a significant contribution towards ending the Russia-Ukraine war.
Marc Fogel was traded to the US for a Russian player to be named later.
Marc Fogel wasn’t a prisoner.
He is an American citizen kidnapped and held as hostage by the terrorist organization called “Kremlin”. A typical case of Russia disrespecting the American people, as usual.
Kidnapped? He flew into Moscow airport with weed in his suitcase. It’s nice that he’s out, but he’s not some kind of martyr.
We can always trade Soros.
“A typical case of Russia disrespecting the American people, as usual.”
1500 years of serfdom is hard to shake off. Now add to it nefarious leadership for over 100 years and you have the current state of the serfdom which takes the name “Russia” -which is actually its 20th century victim we know as Belarus and Ukraine.
The French.
Marc Fogel wasn’t a prisoner.
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>><
Indeed. He was a hostage.
Taken for the sole purpose to be exchanged later on for hardcore Russian spies who have actively worked against America’s interests.
Those who doesn’t understand this are gullible.
Lol...wut?
Here's what Grok has to say.
Based on the information provided from the web search results, Marc Fogel was not kidnapped by Russia; rather, he was detained by Russian authorities in August 2021. Here are the key points:
Detention: Marc Fogel was detained when he entered Russia through customs at Sheremetyevo Airport, where around half an ounce of medical marijuana was found in his luggage. This substance had been prescribed to him in the United States for chronic pain management.
Conviction: In June 2022, Fogel was convicted of drug trafficking and sentenced to 14 years in prison. This was not a kidnapping but a legal detention following a criminal conviction under Russian law.
Transfer: In October 2022, he was transferred from a detention center in Moscow to a penal colony to serve the remainder of his sentence.
Release: Marc Fogel was released on February 11, 2025, following diplomatic negotiations, which involved an exchange with a Russian citizen detained in the U.S.
So, while Marc Fogel was detained and imprisoned in Russia, the term 'kidnapped' would not be accurate as his detention was a result of legal proceedings related to his possession of medical marijuana, which is illegal in Russia. His situation garnered international attention due to the circumstances and the diplomatic efforts involved in his release.
No wonder the Euro-Reich is afraid of American AI, it won't lie for them like you do.
He didn’t fall off a second story balcony so quit your whining.
I would tend to agree Fogel was not “kidnapped”, but what the hell were the 400 injections about?
The AI is screwy (as it often is). Fogel was detained while he was detained? “His detention continued after...” would be more nearly correct.
What is the usual sentence for a Russian citizen caught with 1/2 oz. of marijuana, 1st offense, and no other offenses involved, in a similar circumstance (ie., has a prescription, etc.)? Or, say, for a Belorussian caught in a similar circumstance?
Now, THERE’S an idea!
Are you having a hallucination?
Nothing I posted says anything about injections.
Same, if under the same circumstances. There is no prescription marijuana in Russia.
