How is either corruption or abuse of power to be defined?

One man’s prowess could be defined by a malicious actor as “corruption”, if the objectives and outcomes are not favored by the malicious actor.

One man’s statesmanship and diplomacy could be construed by another person to be abuse of power, if it reflects unfavorably on the other person’s fortunes.

The ruling either way all depends on whose ox is gored.

How is either corruption or abuse of power to be defined?

If it is not a power authorized via the Constitution or amendments thereof, having been duly delegated by the People in whom all power resides, then it is an abuse of power and is illegal and corrupt. See the 9th and 10th amendments if this is not obvious.

Most of what the federal government has been doing the last couple generations is illegal by the standards of the Constitution.

The website isn't loading for me, which is too bad because I have a perfect example for Schumer, being a NY politician. It involves how the SEC under Gary Gensler corruptly attacked the entire industry of cryptocurrency businesses in the US without legislative authority, and with little or no complaints against the businesses targeted. Further they failed to investigate actual crime and corruption (of which there is not a little in this space), instead allowing that to run unchecked while causing bankruptcies and heavy losses to US citizen investors in the wake of the chaos and mayhem they instigated maliciously.

I'm going to keep trying until I get to say my piece.
