The fate of Marxist revolutionaries everywhere. A few of the original leaders of the revolution die of old age or alcoholism, most of the young "useful idiots" die as cannon fodder in the revolution itself, or are shocked when they are considered a threat to the established leadership and sent off to die in the gulag. Even cronies of the old guard aren't immune, refer to Stalin's purges of the 30s and the murder of Trotsky.
