I’m not going to get into a pissing match with the abolish the central bank crowd, because a replacement system(independent treasury system?) would have to function in a similar way. Also, any study of the financial history of the US since 1790 will show more extreme swings between inflation & deflation prior to the post WW2 economic system we’re currently in.
IMO getting rid of the Federal Reserve at this time, isn’t a panacea for sound financial and economic policies.
I’ll listen but haven’t seen any better proposals offered on this forum.
