All the covid cash and federal spending over the years has driven liquidity to obscene levels. That liquidity has sloshed around and distorted prices in many areas.

Which is why shrinking the government is important even if it reduces the size of our GDP.

Yes, in theory we might have a negative gdp for years if we cut whats needed. There will be a large costs to those reductions. The gop might lose it all in the future.

There will be huge grievances going forward with vast sectors confronting more automation and advancements. That future will have a less human workforce.

A Neo-Luddite movement might arise, whoever captures some of those grievances will gain politically.
