SDNY District Judge Paul Engelmayer, on February 8, ruled (outrageously) that the entire DOGE team, Musk, and EVEN TREASURY SECRETARY BESSENT cannot access any Treasury Department records, and must destroy the ones they possess.
This ABSOLUTELY INSANE ruling makes as much sense as banning the Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth from all military bases.
Touche’, you motherhuggers.
The president has authority over the executive branch. Maybe another executive order to explicitly designate who has his permission to access information should be issued (as if there is any doubt here).

I expect Engelmayer will want to move into the White House shortly.
This judge is an idiot. His decision won’t last long.

Not sure why some lowlife district court judge in NY has ANY say over the executive branch in DC. The power of venue shopping.
I HATE that my state is involved in this...but not surprised. Deumblcrats gonna dumble.
They are goading Trump into grounds for impeachment. What you propose is walking into an ambush.
You may have a point.
On a purely legal level, there are no criminal charges, so a pardon isn’t the way to go. Lack of standing is the obvious counter argument, because the only entity with standing to complain about unauthorized access to executive branch data is ... the executive branch.
But like most partisan federal judges, this guy will not be dissuaded by the facts or the law. IMO,Trump should carry on. Meanwhile have Bondi intervene in the case and move for dismissal based on lack of standing.
That moron should be waking up in GITMO this morning.
Maybe it is time to ask the judge you and who’s army.
What happens in the meantime, though? DOGE and Musk will be delayed.
Those records are evidence.
Have Bondi order a spoliation of evidence order to DOGE.
It’s illegal to destroy evidence.
This egregious ruling exceeds the limits of Engelmayer’s authority.
The only focus should be on impeaching him.
On second thought, it’s probably better to let the military handle Engelmayer.
The U.S. Military is the underpinning of the structure of our government. When a judge rules in a way that destroys the legitimacy of his own court, the only thing left is what gave us the court in the first place, and that’s the military.
