If your computer has thunderbolt ports, you can do that through an Inexpensive thunderbolt hub- thunderbolt is lrett awesome, even if it only has 1 connection, the hubs will multiply connections and have plenty of speed/power for daisy chaining many things, including several monitors at high rez

Also, if you have usb ports, usb porthubs will work‐ they too are Inexpensive
The following has a few ways tO connect without the need for 2 display port connections
I am reading your thunderbolt link intensively today. I just might go that way. My current desktop is HP with i5-8400 (a 2018 CPU) so it is too old to accommodate a thunderbolt card... so I figure.
But as I plot my next computer buy. ..... I am checking out what computers have thunderbolt ports for a docking station or can digest a thunderbolt card. It seems that most modern average retail computers (Dell, HP, etc) have motherboards that will not handle a thunderbolt card.
I have not built my own own computer since 2014. But perhaps I will. With a motherboard that has thunderbolt ports. Or latest version dual DisplayPorts. Or I think version 1.4 DisplayPorts. I am so done with HDMI! lolzzzzz
THANKS!
