So you are adopting the current CNN and leftist spin that his support of foreign aid to advance US interests is important is somehow, some way, a contradiction to the lack of transparency and the revelations from DOGE that a significant amount of what has been done does *not* further this purpose and was designed to push leftist social engineering, and somehow means he supported all of this waste and abuse that has been revealed and in the past would have been outraged that this kind of “aid” had been confronted and halted? And that somehow means he has not been consistently critical of the lack of transparency of where foreign aid has been going for years on end?
This is a manufactured narrative from the Left to undermine current reform efforts. This is not a Leftist website. If you can find something wherein he voiced support for programs to promote atheism in the third world, trans operas, using foreign aid to push third world countries into promoting the radical alphabet social agenda in schools or risk losing the aid, etc. you’ve got something. Otherwise, let’s not play games with each other.
Nobody publicly supports waste and abuse.
The issue is that our team needs to be fanatical about getting rid of it.
We will tolerate no less from our side.
Hopefully Rubio is ready to meet that high standard with deeds every day.
Not just AID but the State Department itself is full of insane leftists and wackadoodle expenditures of every kind—today.
Public speaking on foreign policy topics is fine—but he is going to have to go where he did not go before—dig deep into the trenches of the State Department bureaucracy.
It will not be glamorous work—but it must be done or he has failed.
That's the single biggest reason so many left-wing rock critics hated Rush for so long. Peart himself openly acknowledged the connection between that song and Anthem.
There is also their separate song "Anthem" that also has a theme of individualism, but 2112 is really the parallel with the re-discovery of the guitar and music substituting for the re-discovery of electricity in Anthem.
Song always gives me chills because of that theme.
