The Kremlin, asked Wednesday about contacts with the administration of President Donald Trump over Ukraine, said that there have been contacts at the ministerial level and they have been intensifying recently.
Russia welcomes Trump's view that drawing Ukraine towards the NATO military alliance was an issue of concern to Moscow, Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said.

"Suddenly, for the first time, President Trump, in one of his first speeches, criticizing the position of the administration of Biden on the Ukrainian crisis, bluntly said that one of the main mistakes was drawing Ukraine into NATO," Lavrov said.
"For the first time the problem of NATO was identified as something that the United States is ready to discuss seriously," Lavrov said.

Who’d-a-thunk-it?
Oh no! Run for your life! Peace is breaking out! The poor MIC oligarchs! Oh, the humanity!
The U.S. almost nuked Russia when it started sending missiles to Cuba. Of course it’s provoking to move Ukraine into any partnership with NATO
Ukraine out of NATO and Russia out of Ukraine. It sounds like a deal.
Russia is not giving up what theyve taken. The territory taken will need to be relinquished by Ukraine I am afraid for peace.
Glad to see that we finally have ADULTS in charge.
By the way, over 2 weeks now and not single missile salvo into Russia (drones yes, but not missiles), thus proving the ‘conspiracy theory’ that it was never Ukraine launching those missiles...
That has been obvious for over three years now. After a million totally unnecessary dead Slavs, some neocon warmongers are finally figuring that out.
Pushing for Ukraine NATO membership was a policy strategy of the anti-Russian Brzezinski-led war party during the Clinton and Obama administrations, whose overt intention was to goad Putin into taking action which we could then use as a pretext to go to war against Russia. To further that agenda we overthrew a Russia-neutral/NATO-neutral government in Ukraine in 2014 and installed the current bunch willing to carry US anti-Russian water for us. One doesn’t have to be pro-Russian to recognize this, just reasonably objective. Trump gets it and has no desire to pursue the anti-Russian agenda further at the cost of continuing waste of men and wealth.
That could change if Trump wants Ukraine to control Donbas in order to make a deal on rare earth minerals. Russia is not the all-powerful juggernaut that it likes to portray itself as.
And with that falsehood you have lost all credibility.
Putin’s botched invasion ends on Easter.
Now there you go, totally uninformed again. If you’ll remember, the dementia patient authorized the use of ATACMS when those 10,000 NORKS were discovered fighting in Kursk. As of yesterday the Ukes announced that they had killed or frightened away the NORK menace.
No NORKS, no reason to “pummel” Russia with ATACMS. See how that lying BS works?
“Ukraine out of NATO and Russia out of Ukraine. It sounds like a deal.”

Exactly; make Ukraine like Austria during the Cold War, solidly neutral. Of course, we would get the preference for rebuilding contracts, to be paid for by Ukraine, as repayment for all of the money and weapons we gave them.
The NORK withdrawal from Kursk was a Trump precondition to Russia for direct talks with Putin.
Hah, hah, hah! You’re killing me here! Hah, hah, hah! Stop it, I can’t catch my breath. Hah, hah, hah! No Mas, No Mas!
The NORK withdrawal from Kursk was a Trump precondition to Russia for direct talks with Putin.
Unfortunately, Putin and all of his supporters here, with their demands that Russia keep its conquered lands, are revealing that this war was never really about NATO expansion, but about Russia seizing territory and dominating Ukraine. NATO expansion was only a front. But time will tell who gets his ways, Trump or Putin.
“Now there you go, totally uninformed again.”
I submit myself to the USAID-funded, I mean the Ukraine supporters who support Ukraine out of PRINCIPLE. I am humbled.
