To me it seems more of a church hymn than a national anthem.
It is a song that was written for President Lincolns birthday.
I agree. It is a nice song but a completely different purpose than the Star Spangled Banner, which was created for patriotism, reverence, sacrifice and symbolism. If some aren’t interested in the National Anthem, screw them.
