Ukraine has the world’s sixth largest hard coal reserves
The majority of Ukraine’s coal is found in the Donbass region, the Lviv-Volyn Basin, and the Dnieper Basin

Ukraine’s coal reserves are expected to last for about 570 years

Most of Ukraine’s coal is used for domestic energy production

Other natural resources

Iron ore:
Ukraine has some of the world’s largest reserves of iron ore
Russia took over Ukraine’s iron ore deposits near Dniprorudne in 2022

Titanium:
Ukraine has some of the world’s largest reserves of titanium

Natural gas:
Ukraine may have the second largest natural gas deposits in Europe

Lithium:
Ukraine has fields of untapped lithium

Renewable energy:
Ukraine has significant biomass resources and waste management possibilities
