The left doesn’t just use their crazy quilt of NGOs to funnel money to favored causes or individuals, it also uses them as fake sources for their media allies to quote when “reporting” on any partisan issue. Most of these NGOs have official sounding names, but are likely just one guy with a computer, or maybe even several NGOs run by the same guy. They’re facades created to weigh in on any and every issue, creating an illusion of authoritative opinion siding with the leftist point of view. The media constantly cite statements, or opinions, or reports from these official sounding yet hollow organizations. It’s all designed to fool the general public into believing that leftist positions have the stamp of approval from so many “authoritative” sources that no one can argue against them.

They do this on every issue, none more so than “climate change.” Any solid argument to the contrary from a conservative organization (a real organization) is met with immediate rebuttal from several important-sounding “organizations” no one has ever heard of before. It’s a straight-up fraud, but that’s what leftists specialize in.
