The rare-earth elements (REE), also called the rare-earth metals or rare earths, and sometimes the lanthanides or lanthanoids (although scandium and yttrium, which do not belong to this series, are usually included as rare earths), are a set of 17 nearly indistinguishable lustrous silvery-white soft heavy metals.
To say a place has REEs says little unless you say *which* REEs you are referring to. They are NOT interchangeable, like lead and gold, though neither of them are REEs.
I know something of oil and gas and more or less nothing of REE.
China is often noted as the dominant player, but my vague understanding is this refers mostly to its processing. They are the dominant processor of these, regardless of where the “ore” came from. Certainly so of lithium.
When Gabbard is in place, better briefings will appear to the prez and congress, and then post leak, to the public.
Yup. It’s a negotiating position far too many are cheering about.
In fact, the near blanket, blind support I’m seeing is rather pathetic.
LONG way to go and I’m interested to see how he plays this.
Skeptical, but interested.
