Ours doesn't let the liquid drain through fast enough even with thin filters, so it overflows the filter cup and we get ..... grit. Very disgusting.

Simple solution...a bit more patience. Just pour the water a bit more slowly so it doesn’t go over the top of the filter. My pour time to avoid that is maybe 30 seconds.
