We use a quart sized Revere Ware percolator we found by the side of the road. It was intact and just needed a little elbow grease to clean it up. Great coffee.
I agree percolator is the best. My aunt had an electric and bought Maxwell House. I was still the best coffee I ever had. I have a 4 cup stainless steel stovetop percolator. Garage sale find a couple of decades ago. It is almost as good. Easy to clean. I just make two cups, you need less grounds. Arabica is the only coffee I drink. Low acid and a nice fruity taste. You can find these small percolators on camping websites. I do put in a unbleached basket filter in each time.
