Beautiful woman. Underrated tennis player. I agree. She seemed to take a lot of crap for not being #1. Particularly amongst our local newscasters. 'Oh, here is Anna Kournikova, always very popular but she's not Number 1'.
Who cares? She was skilled, and at one time ranked Number 8 in the World Female Singles, and Number 1 in Doubles. She was pretty good in her prime. People were just jealous because she was also attractive. Unless she was a jerk in real life, but I never heard people complaining along those lines. Unlike other prima donnas.
