Disturbing Questions about the Intelligence Community
American Thinker ^ | 27 Jan, 2025 | John Green

In the run-up to the 2020 election, 51 “intelligence experts” signed a letter claiming that the Hunter Biden laptop bore all the hallmarks of a Russian disinformation operation. In recent months, we’ve learned that the letter was just a piece of campaign subterfuge, organized by Antony Blinken, to insulate candidate Biden from evidence on the laptop of corruption.

Since the 2020 election, we’ve learned that the FBI validated the laptop as authentic, and its contents have not been tampered with. The evidence on the laptop was even of such fidelity that it was used by the DoJ to prosecute Hunter Biden for tax evasion. The 51 knew that the letter — not the laptop — was complete disinformation, yet went along with Blinken’s plan to provide plausible deniability to candidate Biden until after the election.

We are justifiably outraged that the 51 used their credentials to dishonestly influence an election. We should also consider the implications of having people of such limited integrity serving in the Intelligence Community (I.C.).

Graeme Wood, writing for The Atlantic, points out that the 51 included professionals who had built careers in the I.C. by objectively assessing data and providing rigorous analysis. Yet they skipped the discipline of their profession when they flagged the Hunter Biden laptop as Russian disinformation. Wood writes,

Why these titans of intelligence were willing to risk their hard-won credibility on the possibility that Hunter Biden might not be a slimeball is deeply mysterious.

Yes, it is, but that is a statement based on a false assumption — that the signatories were people of honor. The 51 “titans of intelligence” didn’t risk their credibility; they revealed that they had none.

The motive was clearly to influence the election. The 2020 election was tampered with in many ways. This was only one of the ways.

Have members of the I.C. just been bad at their jobs, or was something else going on?

And how many of the signatories were blackmailed because they have their own skeletons in their closets?

Hackers, as part of their sentencing, are not allowed to access computers for the duration of their sentence. The same needs to be done for these 51 criminals after they finish their prison sentences. They used a computer device to overthrow an election and should be treated like online scammers.

That's a naive view of how careers are built in DC.

My response would be that we have 17 intelligence agencies which should be consolidated into at most three. We have people running all over the world at taxpayer expense whose jobs can be done electronically from their desk. CIA has Offices of Economic Research, Political Research etc. doing work that can be done by academia cheaper and without the needless cloak of secrecy. Trump can fire a good half of the current ones there, get rid of their cloak of invincibility and open a lot of what they do and certainly what they have done to the American public that has been footing their ridiculous costs.

The dirty secret is that our intelligence services were created for/by our bankers during WWII, and infected in the beginning with the filthy British intel mentality. Then postwar they were infested and enthralled with former nazis such as Klaus Barbie and the Gehlen Organization. Whether shots were fired by the mob, or Cuban exiles, the CIA was behind the murder of JFK. They were behind the removal of Nixon. And they have metastasized into an unelected formation solely to wield power and the interests of the American people are nowhere in sight. They did smuggle in a massive cocaine trade in the 80s, they created Bin Laden, and tried to frame Trump.

Our Founding Fathers would not recognize them. They work against liberty, and they have destroyed America’s reputation around the world.

“And how many of the signatories were blackmailed”

None, they are true believers in DC and the deep state that sees presidents as temporary inconveniences. They saw Trump as an existential threat.

The intelligence abuse by political operatives is incredibly dangerous. It’s not just dangerous here, it’s world wide dangerous. The 5 eye program, that links multiple intelligence services, can take the smallest issues and recycle them enough times to make a big lie real. That’s what they accomplished with the ‘Russia, Russia, Russia’ event. It draws in other nations into ‘lies’ and interfering with US elections (an act of war).

Millions, IMHO, are already dead from the ‘Covid and Covid vaccine’, which was another ‘intelligence’ operation. These events only escalate, and soon these acts could result in Global Thermal Nuclear war. The people who did the ‘Russia Russia Russia’ the ‘Impeachment’ the ‘Pipe Bombing and J6’ , the ‘leaks’ and the ‘Biden Laptop lie’, the cover up of Hunter Biden involvement of the ‘Indian tribe fraud’, need to be paraded out in from of the world, and hanged.

Careers in Washington are built by backstabbing and sucking up. Most importantly, people advance by betting on a particular politician to advance. When the politician advances, all his or her people advance. So they were betting on Biden. They assessed the risk of Trump coming back after a defeat as low.

Seems to me that Blinken needs to be held accountable for election interference.

Intelligence <> Intent/motives

Intelligence <> Doing the right thing / using it for good

Intelligence <> Smart

Intelligence <> morals

The above are problems with people, and with AI
