Pan studied artificial intelligence, but lacked simple common sense…and human decency.

As per CBS News, investigators found that Zion and Perry both completed their undergraduate from MIT, and they met at a Christian group.
To: Islander7
Pan likely studied artificial intelligence because he was aware of his own lack of intelligence - similar to how many enter mental health professions due to their own issues.

CBS News: "She [Zion Perry] and Pan had met each other at a Christian group when Perry was an undergraduate at MIT."
To: Red Badger
It doesn’t say if Pan’s case was in a state court or a federal court. If it was a federal court, why didn’t Biden pardon him? Not offered enough money?

If that’s a “near perfect” murder planned by a “brilliant” MIT graduate then I’m Donald Trump. That plan had more holes in it than S.wiss cheese

Prisons are full of people who knew there was no way they could be caught.

I saw where the lovers were Christian but must have missed where it said the shooter was.

The article says nothing about the shooter being a member of an MIT Christian group, that I can see. It says he attended MIT and tried to strike up a video conversation with her which she declined.

The two lovers were in the Christian group... but it says nothing about the shooter Qinxuan Pan, being in it.

I think the writers may have confused the two men.

I suppose we’ll see this story on ID or Oxygen a year from now.

Hartford Courant (2021): ' "They [Perry and Pan] met while attending various Christian group events on [MIT] campus," the warrant affidavit reads. "They talked at those events and she invited him to other events to welcome him. They never had a romantic or sexual relationship, they were just friends, but she did get a feeling that he was interested in her during that time." '

Maybe Lifetime. Guess I haven’t watched that for about 20 years now. They seemed to go to ultra suspenseful - female slasher psychos stories. For their first several years, though, I was an addict.

He was probably far smarter than the ghetto thugs that homicide detectives are used to dealing with.

This is so true. One genius killed his wife and tried to make it look like a bad burglary. Cops knew it wasn’t a burglary at the front door. The screen door was too neatly cut to have been a burglary. Another guy, a Mensa member, killed some of his neighbors using bismuth. Took the cops a couple of weeks to catch the Mensa genius. The Mensa member was upset at the neighbor kids cutting across his lawn so he poisoned the family.
