I wonder if they receive time served toward retirement for the three to four years they were separated. Do those years still count toward retirement, even though they were not eligible for promotion during that separation period?

They are getting backpay so I would think so. I’m sure Hegseth will have to flesh out the details.

If they’re receiving back pay I would imagine they should get their time as well

I would imagine that they would seeing that they are getting all the back pay.kind of goes hand in hand.

they were eligible. but they were discriminated against like the don’t ask don’t tell troops, make them whole.
