Ohio woman freezes to death in backyard while letting dog outside

An Ohio woman died in her backyard as a result of the harsh winter weather while letting her dog outside, according to authorities.

Eugenia Michele Wadman, 43, was found dead in her backyard on Jan. 19 just before 11 a.m....wearing only “light pajamas” when the misfortune fell on Saturday night.

Wadman “appeared to have fallen and sustained injuries consistent with struggling and crawling on the snow-and-ice-covered yard,” the sheriff’s office said in a statement, according to the sheriff’s office.

A preliminary investigation indicates she may have injured herself and fallen onto the icy ground where she was immobilized due to the cold...

Ma lived in a senior condo complex...long ago, just before sunset, she just happened to be doing dishes and while looking out the above-sink window thought she saw someone moving in a snowbank that had been piled near the sidewalk that leads to the persons door (by an idiot snow-removal crew). She tells me about it and I go over to find her elderly neighbor buried in it trying to get out. I pulled her out, made sure she got inside safely.

No way could she have gotten out on her own, and it would have been dark in about 20 more minutes, plus HER neighbors would have NEVER heard her cries for help.

I would guess dead and popsicle city in about 2 hours...as cold as it was.

yes, it would certainly be necessary to call for help right away assuming that’s possible

“…It wasn’t the cold... It was the booze of the drugs that you passed out on.”

Or the results of a concussion after a slip on icy ground, which does not require any booze or drugs.

A stroke is another possibility... Sh*t happens... But the cold by itself does not incapacitate people.
