President Trump fumed on Sunday after Colombia turned back two US military flights carrying deported migrants — vowing to impose sanctions and an “emergency 25% tariff” on the South American country.
“I was just informed that two repatriation flights from the United States, with a large number of Illegal Criminals, were not allowed to land in Colombia,” Trump wrote Sunday.

He also called for a travel ban, visa revocations on Colombian government officials, visa sanctions on party members and government supporters, enhanced customs and border protection inspections of any Colombian national and banking and financial sanctions.
“These measures are just the beginning,” Trump said. “We will not allow the Colombian Government to violate its legal obligations with regard to the acceptance and return of the Criminals they forced into the United States!”
The angry post came after Petro blocked the military jets’ arrival.
In a social media post, Colombian President Gustavo Petro didn’t slam the door on deportation flights.
Instead, he demanded the US use civilian planes and create better protocols for how it treats deportees.
Colombian migrants can’t stay in a country that doesn’t want them, he conceded.
But they must be returned “with dignity and respect for them and for our country,” he said.
“We will receive our fellow citizens on civilian planes, without treating them like criminals.”
Now, this is a good use of tariffs. Use them as political pressure.
He should block Colombia IPs in the US as well, shut down their live porn export industry.
My church has two-weeks left of our Colombian coffee. I’ll move them over to Sumatra or Papua New Guinea if need be. I have plenty of Kenyan at home.

Not even an hour after Trump’s tariff announcement, the president of Columbia announced he was sending his personal plane to pick up the deportees.

That letter is full of obfuscation and BS. El presidente is dragging his feet.
That story is so last hour. At Trump speed things seem to happen much faster
So sad. A model of democracy for so long. It was a straight line from making peace with the rebels to having them running the government. This POS needs to be made an example of. Rain diplomatic and financial hell on them; we can collapse their economy. That will shit up the others south of the border who are starting to make similar noise.

After the first trip the plane will suddenly develop ‘mechanical issues’. And after that it will be weather, prior commitments, or something else. No end to that crap.
El presidente’s letter was disingenuous. But he can be turned around with painful tariffs and other forms of retaliation.

One thing President Trump is pretty good about is keeping, or trying to keep, his word.
It would also be helpful if President Trump follows up on his several statements and tells the Arab nations (he’s big friends of the Saudi Arabian dictatorial family, for starters, also Egypt’s ruling group) to accept and facilitiate the safe return of the Arab Occupiers of Gaza, Judaea, Samaria and the rest of Israel back to Egypt, Arabia, and any other Moslem countries willing to help out.
ALlowing or enabing the contination of the evil Arab Occuation only serves to assure more terrorist attacks, bombings, kidnappings, and warfare. Over and over and over again. By their deeds. And by their words, threats. Just today Abbas the mass-murdering terrorist leader in Ramallah threatened, yet again, to continue the attacks and paying for more attacks. Look and ye shall see. Listen and ye shall learn. These Fakestinians and their enablers are very very very evil. Extremely evil and blood-thirsty. (And they lie like rugs.)
It is long past due for Israel and the Arab nations to get this done, and yes President Trump can and certainly should follow up and prompt the Arab rulers to cooperate now.
There’s no peace without justice and it is terribly, awfully unjust to permit the evil, blood-thirsty Arab Occuation of Israeli territory to continue year after year after year.
(It does enable indefinite rounds of fighting, however, and some people make fortunes off of that.)
It sounds like that socialist pig who is ruining his own country got religion really fast once President Trump came down with the hammer. I suspect his advising that he would accept these illegals if flown in a commercial plane rather than a military plane is his way of saving face. On the bright side, he is serving as an example of what will happen to any other foreign head who thinks about refusing their returned illegals.
Those are easy ones that our own State Department people could have used. DoS needs to be cleaned out.
Pilots are the controlling legal authority on their planes. I wouldn’t fly 200 angry criminals being deported to somewhere they don’t want to go unless they were at least handcuffed and I want plenty of law enforcement people on the plane too.

stop all wire transfers of funds from the US to Columbia and watch how fast they change their tune. Most illegals here wire money back home, stop that or tax that at 50% and we can fix things real fast.
Colombia already folded like a cheap suit saying they will personally on their own dime take back all the illegals that Trump sends their way
