If Ipana Toothpoaste was still around they could sue the heck out of Buc-ees. In the i950 and 60s Ipana’s mascot was “Bucky Beaver”
Image won’t hotlink, but if you want to see:

Don’t be too hard on the beaver.
I mentioned colors. Blues does not equal yellow. I hope they don’t think they can trademark a circle. Buc-ee stays well within his boundaries, dog extends pat it (”lines”).
Motif? Both animals, done forever by too many to count. One is heroic, the other is cute.
LOL.
Ever been to Jury Duty and gotten as far as the selection process?
They’re gonna get 12, mouth-breathing, calorie queens in there, talk circles, talk smiling brown-and-white animals, each wearing something red... Same. Same. Same.
Cover yer ears; jury gonna make dat beaver cry.
Very.
Have never been to a Buc-ees, but good grief - so choke canyon had a big store with big bathrooms and country themed signage - And all the other stores they are prosecuting! Is there any legal reason that any other business cannot have those general characteristics? Lemme say, living in the South, country themes are VERY common. And large stores? I have been to some humongous truck stops in my time as a band/drum corps mom, lol.
Not going to shop in a store that thinks so little of their concept that they believe they must litigate away any competition.
Very strange.
