The current Prevnar is Prevnar 23.
For me, the risk of bacterial pneumonia is worse than the risk of a vaccine.
I'd rather joust with a vaccine which generally does a good job, than joust with pneumonia.

My physician gave me the pneumonia shot this past summer. She read out the list of shots I was due for but only recommended the pneumonia one. I’m glad I got it because I spent this past December and January at my daughter’s house where everyone was sick with pneumonia. Do you know who wasn’t sick, the 80-year-old, me.

But there are numerous types of pneumonia...kinda like the flu...so I guess it is a crapshoot? Had a cousin of hub get a shot for pneumonia (some years back) He still caught pneumonia
