Nonsense. Gays were known historically in Thailand before any western period. They were not usually plentiful but existed and even noted in royal murals. Thailand actually, initially, became more sexually conservative due to rising influence of westerners from Europe.
No one is talking about whether, “gays were known.” This is about legalizing gay marriage, and the promotion of LGBT. Obviously, gay marriage was not “a thing” in Thailand before.
Gay rights and communism were invented in “the West” and exported to other parts of the world.
