[[It’s entirely possible, after Christ which is when I will be able to trust this kind of technology inherently, that we will all have it but it will be humancentric and a help and no ulterior motive.]]

That would be nice- hadn’t thought of that possibility- Though we are goign to be either all knowing, or nearly so- not sure which- i just hope we aren’t all arrogant know-it-alls then lol- (We won’t be- just jokin)

Satan is a copycat and there is nothing original with him. Everything he does is probably being done in Heaven. However, what is being done in Heaven is being done in the proper and ethical way, as a help to angels and other beings and not a substitution for their efforts or a replacement for them.

However, replacing humanity is a goal for Satan. Replace humans with beings of his own creation. That’s why, I believe, the globablists are driving down the population of the human race and using AI and automation to ensure that productivity does not go down in absense of humanity.

Yep very true- The great deceiver- he is a copycat- nothign original- even his takeover of the temple is an attempt to make himself like God-

I’ve met a LOT of PhDs who didn’t have enough sense to come in out of the rain.

Hopefully, I'm not one of those. It never ceased to amaze me during my career among these people how cognitively brilliant some of them could be in their discipline while so lacking common sense.

“People tend to conflate program generators and expert systems to consciousness...
These are advanced tools that leverage the increasing speed of computation.... they will get far more advanced... but cannot achieve consciousness...
ANY claim that ANY computer system can achieve consciousness also means that a very simple system... could also achieve consciousness if only given enough time to complete the processes....lol”

The challenge of explaining how physical processes in the brain (or elsewhere) give rise to conscious experience is commonly known as the “hard problem of science”.

Until we fully understand consciousness it’s unreasonable to say what can and cannot experience or give rise to it. There may also be a distinction between consciousness and self-awareness. But part of consciousness seems to be the experience of being conscious and a perception that others share a similar experience. We know that we experience our own consciousness because that is its nature.

We do not experience the consciousness of others directly but may reasonably assume their experience is similar to our own. Philosophically one might ponder if the world is full of NPCs (non-playable characters) who merely mimic the behavior of someone who is conscious. But, if this is so, how can we determine if AI has become conscious or self-aware?

Several theories point to our experience of the natural universe- matter, energy, space, and time- as fundamentally virtual. Conscious agent theory, pioneered by Donald Hoffman, supports the idea of consciousness being fundamental. And the 2022 Nobel Prize in Physics was awarded to a physics team that proved that the Universe is not locally real.

A theory called the “Cognitive-Theoretic Model of the Universe (CTMU)” has been proposed by Christopher Langan. In it he argues that reality is a self-simulating system where consciousness is an inherent property of this self-aware universe, meaning everything is fundamentally conscious to some degree.

At the quantum level (and it is being discovered now that this is replicated at the macro level at least in some cases) nothing exists in a definitive state until it is observed. At some level, observation is always and only can be “conscious observation”.

While modern science might disagree with my last statement, I challenge anyone to disprove it. Measurement and observation are meaningless without consciousness at some level, even if there are several layers of separation between the means of measuring and the conscious observer who becomes aware of the measurement.
