Ben Mankiewicz, the lead host at TCM, is a huge Lefty asshat who lives off the reputation of his great uncle and grandfather. Robert Osborne was homosexual and liberal, but he had the good taste and respect for his audience not to let his personal life or political views influence his hosting duties. TCM’s programming has become steadily worse since Osborne’s death. The only good part is Noir Alley, but that’s not going to save the network from its eventual collapse.
I watch a lot of TCM and always try to catch Noir Alley... I really enjoy Eddie Muller and the backstories he gives about the people who made the flicks, many of which I have never seen. Despite Mankiewicz (sp?) I still enjoy TCM very much and I also really like Alicia Malone. The movies on TCM are usually always better than what's running on HBO or Cinemax.
